A significant part of the IGA’s work is to support access to education and training for doctors, especially in countries where there is limited knowledge and where doctors only have one or a few Gaucher patients. Our goal is to educate and inform doctors about: diagnosis; clinical management; available treatments and creating networks with a view to developing sustainable infrastructures.
Rabat, Morocco: 22 – 24th May 2019

Jakarta, Indonesia: 30th November 2018
The meeting was attended by around 30 persons including representatives from the hospital, regulatory agency, pharmacists, insurance company, the ministry of Health, doctors, medical students and the Rare Disease foundation.

RAREX, Johannesburg: 13-16th September 2018
In partnership with Rare Disease Africa, the IGA (formerly EGA) in collaboration with Care Beyond Diagnosis (CBD) supported 26 patient representatives to receive bursaries (travel and registration) to attend a patient huddle.
