Pascal Niemeyer Resigns As IGA Chairman and Director

13 February 2019

Pascal Niemeyer, Chairman of the IGA since 2016, has decided for personal reasons to resign both, as chairman and as director of the IGA.

The IGA regrets but will respect his decision.

We are very thankful for Pascal´s engagement for the benefit of Gaucher Patients over the last 13 years. In fact, since 2006 he served passionately our organization and the Gaucher Community as he was an important part of the IGA´s growth and development. He is grateful to have been a part of IGA and has appreciation for all the efforts the IGA has made for so many years to support organizations all over the world and to improve the quality of life of patients and families that face life with Gaucher disease.

It has been a pleasure working with him. He will be missed, as his work was of paramount importance to all IGA activities, and our organization is thankful for all the good work that he has been doing as a chairman and as a board member.

Pascal wishes the board and its staff all the best for the future and he truly hopes that it will achieve its mission and its goals in the best interest of the patients all over the world.

Each board member is dedicating time and skills to achieve the goals of IGA. As we grow, there are many challenges and obstacles that we will overcome together with the support of IGA members. Together we are strong and we can achieve the impossible.

Although sometimes we set over-ambitious objectives and things take longer than we hope, we know that with prioritising and going step by step forward we will manage to be successful in everything we hope for.

In the upcoming transition period IGA board will do as much as possible to make it easier on all IGA members.

The new chairman and vice chairman will be fortunate to be a part of the dynamic and supportive team projects.
