Who Can Participate?

Who can participate?

The participants will be chosen by their national association: each national association/EGA member should identify possible attendees who meet the below mentioned criteria.

  1. This is a symposium for young adult Gaucher patients, aged between 21-30 years

This age bracket has been chosen for two main reasons: firstly to make sure that all participants have reached a legitimate age in their own country; and secondly to avoid problems with insurance, travel, etc.

(It will be possible for participants younger/older than 21-30 to attend, but this has to be agreed with the planning group.)

  1. There can be one representatives from each EGA member association

This project is being funded by sponsors.  Our budget allows the EGA to cover the cost of the symposium, travel and accommodation and all meals for one participant from each EGA member country.

If your association would like to send more than one participant, this may become possible if there are places available.  Please contact the planning group about this.

  1. Participants will need to be English speaking

In order to ensure maximum benefit for all participants, it is required that all participants understand and speak fluent English.

They will be asked, when completing the application form, to rate their level of English and this score will be used to plan the groups for ‘break-out’ sessions.

Please send your completed application form, together with your letter of commitment, to the EGA office by email no later than Sunday 6th august 2017
