Regional Managers Organise Medical Programme In Nepal
6 September 2019
The aim of our regional manager programme is to grow our global reach to provide a strong voice for Gaucher patients worldwide.
This week Our regional managers responsible for South Asia, Suyog Sathe and Shashank Tyagi have organised a medical programme in Nepal with Dr Ashok Vellodi (formerly from Great Ormand Street Hospital, London UK).
The purpose of this event is to link up with patients and families, and hopefully identify people who would be interested in starting a support group; to increase awareness across a wide range of groups (patients/families/clinicians/junior doctors); to train clinicians and trainees and to assess the infrastructure (labs, other specialties etc).
They are visiting the Maharajgunj Medicine Campus and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu with Dr Arun K Sharma and Dr Bista before traveling with Dr Nisha and Dr Jyoti to B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
