To mark Rare Disease Day 2021, we are pleased to publish our new information booklet on Gaucher disease Types 1, 2 and 3: DOWNLOAD THE BOOKLET HERE
We have developed this booklet as a source of information for patients and their carers and to answer questions on Gaucher disease, such as: What is it? How is it inherited? How will it affect my life? What’s the latest research?
We would encourage patients and carers to share this booklet with their doctor and other professionals who will benefit from learning more about Gaucher disease.
Whether you have been living with GD for many years, or have just been diagnosed, or your work involves people with Gaucher, we hope that you find it both informative and useful.
If you have any unanswered medical questions, please refer them to your doctor; or if you have any unmet non-medical needs, please contact your national Gaucher patient support group or the IGA.
This booklet has been produced in English but, by the end of the year, we hope to have the booklet available to download in additional languages. In the meantime, it is available as an Adobe InDesign file so that patient groups can get it translated into their own languages. (The IGA is not responsible for any translations made to original content and will provide a Style Guide for this purpose.)
