The International Gaucher Alliance (IGA) is recruiting volunteer Regional Managers in four areas:



Countries of Responsibility     


Regional Manager: South-East Asian Region

Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Maldives, Nepal, North Korea, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste

Regional Manager: African Region

Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Kenya, Ghana, Namibia, Ivory Coast, Tanzania

Regional Manager: Central American Region

Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Dominican Republic

Regional Manager: European Region

Cyprus, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro


The main function of the Regional Manager roles is to be the eyes and ears for the IGA in the regions; to network; to be proactive and interact with the key stakeholders in the Gaucher community; to explore and seek to identify persons to support new development opportunities; and give monthly updates to the IGA about planned activities, challenges and advancements for Gaucher patients in the region.


If you have a good knowledge of Gaucher disease and are a member your country’s patient organisation (where one exists) or a patient/care giver, this unique and rewarding opportunity to support the Gaucher community in your region could be for you.
