Working together for the Gaucher community

The International Gaucher Alliance works with organisations around the world to bring the patient voice into research, education, care and initiatives that address the needs of people affected by Gaucher disease.

If your organisation shares our commitment to improving the lives of people and families affected by Gaucher disease, we would welcome the opportunity to talk.

How we can work together

Patient engagement

Bring the experiences and priorities of people affected by Gaucher disease into relevant projects and initiatives.

Research and clinical development

Explore appropriate opportunities to include the patient voice in research and the development of potential new treatments.

Education and awareness

Support initiatives that strengthen understanding of Gaucher disease among healthcare professionals and the wider community.

Access and patient support

Collaborate on initiatives addressing challenges in diagnosis, treatment access and care.

The IGA’s work includes collaboration with industry, researchers, clinicians and patient organisations, as well as initiatives addressing education and access to care.

We work with research and scientific organisations, patient organisations, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and other organisations that share our commitment to the Gaucher community.

Responsible partnerships

The IGA is committed to transparent and responsible collaboration.

Our Code of Practice sets out the principles that guide our relationships with the pharmaceutical industry, including mutual respect, clear objectives and transparency around financial and non-financial support. Partnerships should contribute to improving the health and quality of life of people affected by Gaucher disease.

Our sponsors and funders

The IGA is grateful to the organisations that provide financial support for our work with the global Gaucher community.

The IGA’s Code of Practice requires it to publicly acknowledge pharmaceutical companies providing financial or significant indirect/non-financial support and to update this information yearly.

Could we work together?

Whether you are a research organisation, patient organisation, pharmaceutical or biotechnology company, or another organisation interested in supporting the Gaucher community, we would be pleased to hear from you.
